Well first let me say it has been a crappy week.

Travis-----took the chest tube out lungs filled up with blood so they had to put the chest tube back in and of course still loopy, have not been back to see him but i do send cards probably one a week.

Saturday afternoon Sammy called me and said she wanted to tell me this before i found out from someone else, i of course thought it was about Travis, but her younger sister found her husband dead on the couch Saturday morning. He was 38-40 around there somewhere.  SHe had gone on to bed and he said he would be in in about an hour. She got up the next morning thinking he had just gotten up early as they had plans for that day, clean go to see travis etc and she found him on the couch.  I havent talked to Sammy in a couple days but i am sure i will soon. In less then a 2 week time frame this family has suffered far more then anyone should!

Then there was a shooting last night in a little town bout 20 minutes away that i used to frequent often (this is where Sammy is from) I knew the people involved, but didnt know the people involved.

Thats the update on things.

they took him off the ventilator and sedation meds NOW he is on morphine and from my understanding it makes you kinda loopy. Well thats an understatement.  He told his sister he wanted to go home she said Travis i cant take you home and to that he said You can do any F***ing thing you want .....he feels no pain so i don't think he still fully comprehends what has happened.

He is doing better has an infection in his lungs they are working on and he still has all the drainage tubes and feeding tube, I am anxious to hear from Sammy today to see what "antics" he trying to pull today.

Going Saturday morning for a little bit, but it sure will be nice to see him awake

Went to the hospital yesterday and it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be.  It of course heartbreaking to see one of your dear friends laying there with tubes basically coming out of every part of their body.

He was sedated heavily, but he did open his eyes and turned his head toword me it did look as though his bottom lip moved like he wanted to say something, but couldnt.  I told him some things that i wanted to say and told him that he was going to be ok and they were taking good care of him kinda thing. I did find out that the venelator isnt breathing for him he is breathing on his own but not taking deep enough breaths so it is helping with that. His hands are tied to the bed which botherd me but they dont want him pulling those tubes out (that will start a whole set of problems) he does have an infection and running a fever, but he is on antibiotics for that the nurse did tell me he is doing better little by little.

talked to Sammy this moring and she was on her way up to the hospital they are going to start waking him up today. So i am not sure how that is going to go, but we will see. Bless his heart! thank you all that send their thoughts!

Well he made it thru another night Thank god...and every night that goes by is one day better.

His surgery took about 7 hours they fixed his bladder and the surgeon went ahead and did sew his abdomen shut. She said she didn't really want to but he had been open for so long.

The inserted the feeding tube thru his nose and began to slowly feed him to see if his bowels and everything are working. 

They took the wound vac off because they closed him up but he does still have some drainage deals in his side.

i do have pictures of his car and with Sammy's permission i will post later.
